The event will raise funds for Hope House Tŷ Gobaith children’s hospices and follows a 311-mile route ending on the Champs Élysées. Lee Eyes, 56, from Dobbs Hill in Flintshire, has already signed up for the ride. A travelling cycle mechanic will also accompany participants throughout the journey. Andy Everley, fundraising manager at Hope House Tŷ Gobaith, said: "This is a classic ride that takes entrants through beautiful countryside and historically important sights. Early bird places for the challenge are available from £99, giving cyclists plenty of time to train and fundraise.
