Chaska police are sending a stern warning to people trying to be “urban explorers” and go into the former Oak Ridge Hotel & Conference Center: don’t or face a potential criminal charge like burglary. It’s become a common occurrence, with police saying they have had more than 100 calls at the property over the past few years, with many of them for things like trespassing, property damage, burglary and other criminal activity. There are surveillance cameras at the former Oak Ridge Hotel & Conference Center that building security watch. The warning comes on the heels of an urban explorer being seriously hurt after falling while at an abandoned grain elevator earlier this week.
