A revised application submitted to Scottish Borders Council for a coffee house at 20 Northgate in Peebles has been rubber-stamped. A report approving the application, from SBC planning officer Ranald Dods, states: “A number of businesses and uses, including an estate agents, shops and takeaways, can be found within this part of the town centre. “Although a Class 1A unit would be lost, a café would be an appropriate town centre use.”
