The Scholars Arms, on Above Bar Street, closed temporarily on July 20 to allow renovation work to take place inside the venue. The popular pub is being upgraded with new areas for pool, darts and shuffle, alongside improved viewing areas for fans watching live sport on Sky Sports and TNT Sports.
