Scotty McCreery's cover of Conway Twitty's "Hello Darlin'" has become a fixture of his live shows, and a viral clip from the Grand Ole Opry has pushed the song to a new generation of listeners. McCreery has performed the tune at the Opry for years, but footage of one rendition circulating online introduced him to fans who hadn't previously followed his career. "Doing Hello Darlin' on the Grand Ole Opry, and them putting it out on their YouTube page and social media, I think introduced me to a lot of new folks. It became a song that people at my concerts, at meet and greets, or online before shows, will be like 'Please tell me you're singing Hello Darlin'.' The Opry's 100th anniversary in 2025 spotlighted "Hello Darlin'" on its list of the 100 Greatest Country Songs, the lone Conway Twitty entry.
