((Photo from Facebook))With potential data centre investment measured in the hundreds of billions of dollars, the Alberta government has launched an online information hub and scheduled a series of town halls. The province has made data centre attraction a key part of its future prosperity plans and says its data centre strategy has already attracted $100 billion to $200 billion in potential private investment. As well, Albertans must profit from data centre development through municipal tax revenues, royalties and a data centre computing equipment levy. He will host a similar in-person events on Aug. 20 at Sturgeon County Town Hall and on Sept. 11 at Grande Prairie Town Hall.
