Alberta Technology and Innovation Minister Nate Glubish is hosting a series of data centre town halls this summer.
((Photo from Facebook))With potential data centre investment measured in the hundreds of billions of dollars, the Alberta government has launched an online information hub and scheduled a series of town halls.
The province has made data centre attraction a key part of its future prosperity plans and says its data centre strategy has already attracted $100 billion to $200 billion in potential private investment.
As well, Albertans must profit from data centre development through municipal tax revenues, royalties and a data centre computing equipment levy.
He will host a similar in-person events on Aug. 20 at Sturgeon County Town Hall and on Sept. 11 at Grande Prairie Town Hall.
