Netflix wants to turn New York Yankees history into its next scripted television swing. The streaming giant has joined MLB Studios, Jason Bateman’s Aggregate Films and filmmaker Josh Wakely to develop an untitled drama centered on the Yankees, Variety reports. Netflix has revealed few plot details, but the source material gives the creative team plenty to explore. Bateman and Aggregate Films bring an established Netflix track record. Netflix has not announced the Yankees series’ cast, premiere date or production timeline.
