Dalys Jett died after an exchange of gunfire with police the night of July 22. Two IMPD officers were injured in the exchange. “We just want to see what happened to our son,” said Derrick Jett, father of Dalys Jett. IMPD is coordinating with Mr. Jett’s family to provide them the opportunity to review the body-worn camera footage from all involved officers. A celebration of life is planned for Dalys Jett at New Direction Church on Saturday, beginning at noon.
