Cape Town theatre audiences are getting a new reason to laugh, cringe and perhaps recognise a little of their own dating lives when First Date: The Musical makes its South African debut this October. When a blind date becomes a musicalAt the centre of First Date: The Musical are Aaron, a cautious man who takes relationships seriously, and Casey, a fearless serial dater. The South African production is directed by Byron Bure, whose previous credits include RENT, Songs for a New World and Shrek The Musical. First Date: The Musical will be staged at the Avalon Theatre, Homecoming Centre, Cape Town, from 21 October to 1 November. Bookings are available through the official First Date: The Musical website.
