Vice President Professor Jane Naana Opoku-Agyemang has urged universities across the country to embrace Artificial Intelligence (AI) by integrating digital literacy and emerging technologies into their academic programmes where necessary.
Prof. Jane Naana Opoku-Agyemang also called on universities to promote interdisciplinary research, support technology-based entrepreneurship and equip graduates to use Artificial Intelligence responsibly.
The Vice President made the call at the 15th Graduation Ceremony of KAAF University, where 2,053 students graduated under the theme, “Transforming Lives, Transforming Ghana.”
She encouraged the management of KAAF University to take advantage of Ghana’s National Artificial Intelligence Strategy to equip graduates with the knowledge and skills required to navigate an increasingly technology-driven environment.
The Vice President also highlighted the “Teacher Dabre” initiative, which seeks to provide decent accommodation for teachers and address housing challenges, particularly for educators posted to rural communities.
