Plan lodged to install BT hub in prominent Greenock street
['Adam Lyon']
Greenock Telegraph | News
The telephone company wants to install the device on the pavement outside 55 West Blackhall Street.
The hub, which would be almost three metres tall, would have advertisement panels on either side.
A BT Street Hub is a modern replacement for traditional public phone boxes that provides free digital services, Wi-Fi, and digital advertising screens.
It delivered public wireless internet, allows users to make free phone calls to UK landlines and mobile numbers, and includes fast-charging waterproof USB ports to power up mobile devices.
