MITCHELL — Behind a dominant performance from Josiah Peterson on the mound and a steady offense after the second inning, Tabor advanced to the Class B state amateur baseball tournament round of 16 with a 6-2 victory over Mount Vernon on Friday night at Cadwell Park. The Bluebirds finished with eight hits and took advantage of five Mount Vernon errors, with three of Tabor's runs coming courtesy of Mustang miscues.
