With deep love, we announce the passing of John Boyd Knowling, a devoted husband, father, grandfather, great-grandfather, and friend, who passed away on July 29, 2026, at his home in Cherokee Village, Arkansas. John was born on October 10, 1937, in Iowa City, Iowa. John was an avid golfer, occasional fisherman, and enjoyed travel with friends and family, as documented by the array of souvenir pins that he collected in his journeys. AdvertisementHe is survived by his wife, Carol Knowling; daughter, Renee (Jeff) Menary; son, Jeff (Renu) Knowling; son, Doug (Jeanne) Knowling; son, Brian (Jennifer) Monk; daughter, Stacey (Brian) Coens; fourteen grandchildren, seven great-grandchildren, first wife, Karen Albertus; and many more family and friends. His family and friends will carry his memory forward through the lessons, stories, and love he gave so generously.
