A proposal to install news solar panels on Bournemouth Pavilion in a horseshoe design has been submitted to Bournemouth Christchurch and Poole Council. The solar panels are expected to generate 30 KWH, aiding the Pavilion’s daily operations. The Bournemouth Pavilion, a Grade II listed building with a history approaching a century, stands on the town’s seafront near the pleasure gardens. The installation area for the solar panels has been carefully chosen, with no residential buildings nearby, and hidden from ground view. It is expected that a decision on the proposal to add solar panels to Bournemouth Pavilion will be made by planning officers after the consultation period has finished.
