On Instagram, the country star shared a video that includes a first listen of the eighth track on her upcoming fifth studio album, Honest Woman, along with a personal reflection. Speaking directly to the camera in the clip, Pearce opened up about the emotional weight of watching peers reach goals first. "One of the hardest things in life, in my opinion, is comparing yourself to other people in your life who maybe are getting things before you or are on a different timeline than you," she said in the video. "Happy for Myself" will be released as a standalone single today before Honest Woman hits shelves, with the full album set to arrive Aug. 28.
