The Los Angeles Dodgers are riding a six-game losing streak entering Friday night’s series opener against the Arizona Diamondbacks.
However, ahead of a matchup featuring Roki Sasaki on the mound for Los Angeles and Merrill Kelly for the Diamondbacks, Dodgers manager Dave Roberts announced that a major reinforcement will return to the starting rotation.
Blake Snell ReturningSnell made his last start on May 9 before undergoing surgery roughly a week later to remove loose bodies from his left elbow.
Roberts revealed before Friday’s game that Snell will start Tuesday night against the Kansas City Royals.
His start will come one day after Tarik Skubal makes his home debut as a member of the Dodgers Monday night.
