In the Avengers: Doomsday trailer, it appears that James Marsden is returning as Cyclops, so it’s not certain what version Connor will play. Marsden originally played the character for three X-men movies as well as cameos in other X-Men projects. In more recent live action movies focusing on the X-Men, Tye Sheridan (Ready Player One) played a younger version of Cyclops. In the older X-Men movies, he had a love triangle between Wolverine, played by Hugh Jackman (Logan), and Phoenix, played by Famke Janssen (007: Goldeneye).
