The federal byelection in North Vancouver-Capilano is set for Aug. 31, with voters choosing a new member of Parliament to replace longtime Liberal MP Jonathan Wilkinson.
The Green Party announced environmental scientist and non-profit leader Shelley Luce as its candidate on July 15.
During her nomination announcement, Luce said North Vancouver-Capilano needs an MP who understands the challenges facing local residents.
The Liberal Party of Canada announced Braeden Caley as its candidate on July 18.
“I believe North Vancouver-Capilano deserves a strong local advocate who will stand up for taxpayers, defend property rights, support safe communities, and fight for the infrastructure investments our growing region needs,” Curran said.
