Joseph Charles Sutphin, known to many as Charlie, of Pearisburg, Virginia passed away on August 2, 2026, at Carilion Giles Community Hospital. Charlie is survived by his brothers, Delbert Sutphin and his wife Cathy, Johnny Sutphin, and David Sutphin. He was preceded in death by his parents, Paul William Sutphin and Anna Leola Hefner Sutphin; his brother, Paul Daniel Sutphin; and his sister, Sandra Holiday. Their memory remained an important part of his life, and he carried the bonds of family with him throughout the years. The staff of Kendall Funeral Home are honored to serve the Sutphin family.
