A Clarksville, Tennessee, woman has been sentenced to two years in federal prison after admitting to embezzling more than $238,000 from a Christian County business. According to the U.S. Attorney’s Office for the Western District of Kentucky, 50-year-old Kathleen M. Michaelis was sentenced on five counts of wire fraud. In addition to her prison sentence, Michaelis was ordered to serve two years of supervised release and pay $291,470 in restitution. Federal officials noted there is no parole in the federal prison system. The case was investigated by the FBI Bowling Green Satellite Office and prosecuted by Assistant U.S. Attorney Raymond McGee.
