Shimla: To strengthen healthcare services across Himachal Pradesh, the state government has issued appointment letters to 259 Assistant Staff Nurses for deployment at Government Medical Colleges and hospitals and the Atal Institute of Medical Super Specialities (AIMSS), Chamiana, Shimla. The newly recruited Assistant Staff Nurses will be posted in IGMC, Shimla, Dr. Rajendra Prasad Government Medical College Tanda, Dr. Yashwant Singh Parmar Medical College, Nahan, Dr. Radhakrishnan Government Medical College, Hamirpur, Shri Lal Bahadur Shastri Government Medical College, Nerchowk, Pt. The induction of trained nursing personnel will also help meet the growing demand for quality medical services and ensure better healthcare services to the patients. Earlier in June 2026, the government had appointed 372 Assistant Staff Nurses in various Government Medical Colleges across the State.
