Duck Creek Recreation Area may not be the state's most frequented spot, but it certainly has a stellar reputation among those who visit.
Located on the calm waters of Duck Creek, it offers a quiet escape 60 miles south of Omaha and 140 miles north of Kansas City.
Duck Creek Recreation Area is a short distance west of the Missouri River, which is easy to get to by car.
Despite its name, the on-site creek is actually a 62-acre lake surrounded by the 200-acre recreation area.
"Awesome recreation area," another visitor said, shouting out the clean facilities, helpful staff, and kayak launch.
