Hyderabad: Cyber Crime Police launched a massive nationwide crackdown and arrested 49 fraudsters from 15 states. The arrests were made during coordinated raids conducted across the country in July based on complaints received through the National Cyber Crime Reporting Portal (NCRP). Refunds were also secured in APK fraud, investment fraud, credit card fraud, digital arrest scams, customer care fraud, WhatsApp DP fraud and job scam cases. Zonal cyber cells register 298 FIRsApart from the Cyber Crime Police Station, Hyderabad's zonal cyber cells received 2,059 petitions during the month. Victims of cyber fraud have been advised to immediately report incidents by calling the 1930 cybercrime helpline or lodging complaints through the National Cyber Crime Reporting Portal.
