In the Late Model division, it was two-time division champion Michael Bennett who was also playing forecaster on Friday. Bennett wasn’t predicting rain on the track though, he was predicting his own reign over the Late Model division for the remainder of the 2026 season. Bennett, of Stafford, scored his third victory of the season in the 30-lap Late Model feature Friday. Bennett, the 2015 and 2021 Late Model champion at Stafford, returned to the division full-time this season after three years away from the track. It was Bennett’s 28th career Late Model victory at Stafford.
