Record Staff (HB)Centre d’art Arts Sutton will host a 5 à 7 on Thursday, Aug. 13 offering visitors the opportunity to meet and mingle with the artists who currently have pieces in the Imaginaires exhibition at the Centre: Loose Canine, Daniel Laflamme, and Hannah Cohen. Through their art, Loose Canine, Daniel Laflamme, and Hannah Cohen invite guests to explore a space where fantasy, the sensuality of form, and the wonder of childhood come together. Loose Canine has a series of constructed paintings, which explore the idea of Venus, Roman goddess of love, beauty and fertility. According to the invitation, Loose Canine utilizes Venus in the exhibition as a poetic metaphor for the evolving complexity of life. The third artist, Hannah Cohen, embodied her imagination and inventiveness in her Hannimals, a collection of sculptures.
