(ABC 6 News) — The Minnesota primary election is just days away as voters get ready to head to the polls on Tuesday, August 11. If you still have the ballot on your kitchen table, you’re not alone as the secretary of state’s office shows there are still around 300,000 ballots that were sent out that haven’t been sent back. Election officials say, at this point in the process, it is better to personally hand your ballot in at your local election office, and that has to be done before 5 p.m. on Tuesday. Even if the ballot is postmarked before Election Day, if it is received after the votes are counted, the vote won’t be tallied.
