(ABC 6 News) — The most recent recipient of Farmfest’s Woman Farmer of the Year is increasing visibility for female farmers and the mental health struggles faced by all farmers. Mental health difficulties during that time led her to advocate for all farmers’ mental health in the state. Stuedemann is involved in several well-being initiatives for Minnesota farmers. The Minnesota Farm and Rural Helpline offers free mental-health support to farmers at any time. She also led the Farm Suicide Prevention campaign to help raise awareness for the mental health difficulties that occur in the agriculture industry.
