The Paint Pot, a painting and decorating store in Alexandria, will shut permanently at the end of August. The team at the Bank Street business stated that this had been a “heartbreaking decision” but that the cost-of-living crisis and rising costs meant they were “no longer able to continue”. In a heartfelt message to customers, the third-generation family store thanked those who had come through the doors over the past 67 years. “We would like to thank every customer, supplier, friend, and member of our community who has supported us over the past 67 years. From our family to yours, thank you for everything and for being part of our journey.”
