Thomson Reuters, which owns, a document management solution, will cease official support for the product on Dec. 31, 2027, discontinuing all software updates, security patches, and technical support.
From now until that date, those who do not renew their licenses will still be able to view, print, backup, restore, send to file, and send to email any existing documents as well as use archiving features, but will not be able to update the FileCabinet CS application, add new documents, upload/download data through CS Connect, send documents to NetClient CS, or access FileCabinet CS from multiple workstations at the same time.
After that point, Thomson Reuters can't guarantee perpetual access due to potential technological changes, such as operating system updates, security updates, or authentication updates.
Users are encouraged to migrate their data to an alternative document management system before Dec. 31, 2027, and extract and store documents in formats that will remain accessible regardless of future system updates.
