The Pentagon has released a new batch of declassified records detailing reported encounters with unexplained aerial phenomena, including a sighting over Afghanistan and an incident involving a US military gunship. The records span from 1950 to 2026 and include military sensor footage, FBI witness interview reports and historical intelligence documents. “(Redacted) noticed that the stars were getting blacked out over Bagram,” the FBI agent stated in the report. The FBI also produced an artist’s rendering based on the witness’s description, depicting a large, dark object blocking out the stars above Bagram. Another set of records details an encounter reported during a Special Operations exercise in the Gulf of Oman in September 2021.
