Morocco’s Electrified Passenger Vehicle Sales Hit Record 17% Market Share in July

Sales of electrified models, including battery electric, hybrid, plug-in hybrid, mild hybrid, and range-extended electric vehicles, surged 86% year-on-year to 22,963 units.
Plug-in hybrids posted the fastest growth, with registrations rising 145%, while mild hybrid sales increased 70.4% to more than 4,000 units.
Fully electric vehicle registrations nearly doubled to 1,213 units, and range-extended electric vehicles (REEVs) entered the market with 1,402 registrations, driven largely by Chinese brands.
Overall, Morocco’s automotive market remained on an upward trend, with July new vehicle sales rising 5.2% year-on-year to 20,738 units.
Chinese automakers continued to gain market share, with 21 brands registering 15,161 passenger vehicles between January and July, representing 11% of the market.
