Allen Lamb (Andrews Mortuary Market Street Chapel)WILMINGTON — On July 19, 2026, heaven gained one of America’s greatest warriors and devoted fathers. Lieutenant Colonel Allen Thompson Lamb, USAF (Retired), passed away peacefully at his home in Wilmington, North Carolina at the age of 94. He was preceded in death by his beloved wife, Frances, and his parents, Allen and Carrie Lamb. Over 20 years of distinguished service, Allen answered his country’s calling with service in the Korean War and three tours of duty as a fighter pilot in Vietnam. Those who loved Allen knew a man of equal parts strength and warmth.
