Harare magistrate Mr Tapiwa Kuhudzai remanded the matter to the new date after hearing testimony from the complainant’s wife, as the State continues to build its case against Rondozai. Rondozai is charged with kidnapping as defined in Section 93 of the Criminal Law (Codification and Reform) Act. In a separate matter, Rondozai is also facing fraud charges before the Harare Provincial Magistrates Court. The kidnapping trial is expected to continue on August 19, with additional witnesses expected to testify as the prosecution seeks to prove its case against Rondozai. As with all criminal proceedings, the accused is presumed innocent until proven guilty in a court of law.
