RAWALPINDI: Decades after his supreme sacrifice, the bravery and determination of Major Tufail Muhammad Shaheed, Nishan-e-Haider, continue to inspire the nation as Pakistan’s armed forces paid tribute to the war hero on his 68th martyrdom anniversary. The tribute highlighted his unmatched courage, devotion to duty and sacrifice while defending the country. The ISPR said Major Tufail Muhammad displayed extraordinary courage while leading a daring operation against enemy forces. Despite suffering severe injuries during the battle, he continued fighting with unwavering determination and ensured the successful completion of his mission. For his exceptional bravery, battlefield leadership and ultimate sacrifice, Major Tufail Muhammad Shaheed was awarded the Nishan-e-Haider, Pakistan’s highest military award.
