Lauryn Hill and Wyclef Jean say new the possibility of new Fugees music is “absolutely” on the table. Speaking to the BBC ahead of the festival, Hill said they had gone through “an incredible healing process”, while Jean said they are “in an amazing place” and that he is “back with my bandmate”. When asked about the possibility of new music, Jean repeated the question to Hill: “Will there be music in the future?” The pair last performed together at New York’s Global Citizen Festival in 2023, where they celebrated the 25th anniversary of Hill’s seminal 1998 album, ‘The Miseducation of Lauryn Hill’.
