I am going to start this week’s column by saying this: Perthshire Pride’s Philip Ross shouldn’t have said what he did about “painful death” in messages to the Scottish Family Party. I looked at the Scottish Family Party website the other day to understand what it is that they actually stand for because if you just read the headlines it’s anti-LGBT, anti-abortion, pro-nuclear family. The Scottish Family Party can’t expect apologies if they don’t give themBut I don’t expect them to apologise either. I’ve yet to see a single statement by a member of the Scottish Family Party apologising for anything they’ve said or done. I would like to note that back in 2023, when then-party member Niall Fraser called then-first minister Humza Yousaf a “pestilence on the land”, the Scottish Family Party did not appear to offer up their own apology.
