The day began with the inauguration of the upgraded Residency Road–High Street corridor in Jammu, a ₹9.18 crore Smart City project executed by Jammu Smart City Limited. Senior officials, including MLA Jammu East Yudhvir Sethi and JSCL CEO Devansh Yadav, were present at the event, which aimed to boost civic infrastructure and urban appeal. The Chief Minister also laid the foundation stones for two major projects worth over ₹140 crore to strengthen water supply and sewerage systems in Udhampur and Reasi. The ₹124.19 crore Augmentation of Water Supply Scheme for Udhampur under AMRUT 2.0 aims to modernize the town’s longstanding drinking water infrastructure, ensuring a reliable supply for its growing population. The ₹16.33 crore Used Water Management Project at Reasi includes the construction of a 3 MLD Sewage Treatment Plant, significantly improving sanitation and wastewater management.
