It’s 5 am, I’m on my first cup of coffee, and I’m writing my final issue of In Development. It’s also my last day at IndieWire after nearly 16 years as its Editor-in-Chief. When I launched In Development in May 2025, Hollywood was starting to realize that the whole “Stay alive until ’25!” I imagined extracting best practices, truths about the way Hollywood really works, etc. So grateful to IndieWire and its team, and for leaving them in the excellent hands of Brent Lang.
