Jackie the internet-famous bald eagle mom is still in critical condition, according to the latest update from the Ojai Raptor Center. “Her blood values have declined again, with her packed cell volume (PCV) falling below 10 percent, and her condition remains critical,” the center shares. She has since been diagnosed with anemia, and been under the Ojai Raptor Center’s care ever since. Only 50 percent of eagle eggs successfully hatch, so this pair has already beaten the odds.
