Another weak circulation is prevalent at lower atmospheric levels over the coastal regions of northern Tamil Nadu. Similar conditions are expected in parts of northern Tamil Nadu, Puducherry, and Karaikal, where light to moderate rain accompanied by thunderstorms and strong winds may occur. Light rain is likely in some areas of Tamil Nadu, Puducherry, and Karaikal from August 10 to 12. On August 13, scattered light to moderate rainfall is forecasted in the Western Ghats districts, northern coastal Tamil Nadu, Puducherry, and Karaikal. The RMC indicated that there is unlikely to be any significant change in maximum temperatures in Tamil Nadu, Puducherry, and Karaikal between August 8 and 11.
