Kawempe Muslim Ladies FC will renew their quest for a place among Africa’s elite after being handed a challenging draw for the 2026 Caf Women’s Champions League Cecafa Qualifiers. With only one qualification slot available for the Caf Women’s Champions League finals, every match will carry enormous significance as East Africa’s leading clubs battle for the region’s sole ticket to the continent’s premier women’s club competition. The draw, conducted in Kigali, confirmed that matches will be played at Kigali Pelé stadium and the FERWAFA Technical Centre. Since then, Kawempe have regained the Uganda Women Super League title and developed a squad that combines continental experience with youthful talent. The club will hope the lessons learned during their previous campaign can help them overcome the final hurdle.
