WOKHA, AUG 7 (NPN): Continuous rainfall triggered landslides at several locations across Wokha district on Friday, damaging property and disrupting road connectivity in parts of the district.
An old kutcha house at Etsutchukha Colony, located adjacent to NH-2 (formerly NH-61), was damaged after a landslide struck the area.
A vehicle parked along the roadside also slipped during the heavy rainfall but did not collide with the house.
Meanwhile, multiple landslides were reported in parts of Elumyo and Humtso villages, completely blocking the road connecting Elumyo with the district headquarters.
Officials from the Wokha district administration visited the affected areas later in the day to assess the damage and monitor the situation.
