Hundreds of fans gathered outside the local CPL Box Office on Camp Street, Georgetown, from Thursday evening into Friday morning as ticket sales began for the Guyana leg of the 2026 Republic Bank Caribbean Premier League. The Guyana Amazon Warriors will play five home matches, beginning against new franchise Jamaica Kingsmen on Friday, September 4, at 7:00 p.m. The tournament officially bowls off on Friday evening, August 7, with the Jamaica Kingsmen facing the Antigua and Barbuda Falcons in Kingstown, St. Vincent & the Grenadines. Meanwhile, the Barbados Royals have returned to their original name, Barbados Tridents, which they used during the first eight seasons of the competition. Matches will be played across a record-equalling eight Caribbean nations: Antigua and Barbuda, Barbados, Guyana, Jamaica, St Kitts and Nevis, St Lucia, St Vincent and the Grenadines, and Trinidad and Tobago.
