California State Parks seeks input on three new parksIn-person and virtual workshops begin Aug. 11– California State Parks will hold in-person and virtual workshops this month to gather public input on three new state parks planned for the Central Valley.
The three parks form the centerpiece of State Parks Forward, which Gov.
Gavin Newsom announced on Earth Day as the largest expansion of the California State Park System in decades.
After the engagement process, California State Parks will submit a visioning report to Newsom outlining recommendations and next steps.
California State Parks oversees 280 park units organized into 21 field districts.
