Up With Kids hosts 25th annual back-to-school shopping spreeEach student received $150 to select clothing and shoes– Up With Kids held its 25th annual Back to School Shopping Spree on Aug. 1 at the Target store in Paso Robles, serving 133 students from Paso Robles and surrounding communities. Each student received a $150 budget to select school clothing and shoes. Each child will also receive a new backpack containing school supplies, including notebooks and pencils, and take a tethered hot-air balloon ride piloted by Captain Dave. “Our goal is to ensure that every child starts the school year feeling prepared and excited,” Up With Kids committee member Fred Bruen said. The annual event provides local students with clothing, shoes, backpacks, and school supplies before the beginning of the school year.
