Templeton Community Services District marks 50th anniversary with concert, ice cream– The Templeton Community Services District will celebrate its 50th anniversary during the Concerts in the Park event Aug. 12 at Templeton Park, 550 Crocker St.Critical Mass will perform rock music from the 1970s, ’80s, and ’90s from 6 to 8 p.m. The district will hold an ice cream giveaway near the cannon beginning at 6 p.m. while supplies last, followed by a recognition ceremony at 7 p.m. The district invites current and former board members, staff members, volunteers, coaches, fire personnel, and other community members to attend. Voters approved the establishment of the district on Nov. 2, 1976. The district provides water, sewer, fire protection, parks and recreation, refuse collection, street lighting, and drainage services.
