It may have been said in jest but it was true - my husband was loving every minute, revelling in the new order of things.
Not that I don’t do anything around the house, but there are some things he’s able to do more easily.
Since I lost my voice more than a week ago, I’ve simply thought ‘that can wait.’
Being unable to speak has made me a better listener, both in conversation and when watching TV.
Being unable to speak, you take far more notice of non-verbal cues from others, like body language and facial expressions.
