The Reaction Unit South Africa (RUSA) Operations Centre received several calls from members of the public reporting the incident at approximately 16:26. According to information gathered at the scene, two men approached a white VW Golf 8 on foot and discharged multiple rounds into the vehicle while both women remained inside. Driver identified as primary targetThe 43-year-old driver sustained multiple gunshot wounds and is in a critical condition. KZN Police spokesperson Colonel Robert Netshiunda confirmed that the women were travelling in a BMW X5 and were seated in the front seat.
