“Fertilizer costs are up. Zike emphasized that rising input costs are an all-too-familiar situation for agricultural producers. To help ease the burden of rising input costs, the GFO is advocating that the Canadian government remove tariffs on Russian fertilizer imports. So, I would say we’re also working on getting the fertilizer tariffs removed,” said Zike, noting that it is a tough situation politically.
