Crater Road on the way to Haleakalā National Park. The Hawaiʻi Department of Transportation is notifying the public that one lane on Crater Road (Route 378) will be closed beginning on Monday, Aug. 10 for permanent striping work. The project is scheduled to begin at mile marker 10 on Crater Road near the Haleakalā National Park entrance station and will proceed down the mountain. The closure will only be in the work zone. Please follow all traffic controls and drive safely around the workers.
